Active and Creative Teen Theatre

The Active and Creative Teen Theatre is a teen theatre organization that receives direction and support from Springfield Theatre Centre's Board of Directors.
ACTT has its' own Board, manages its' own funds, makes its' own decisions, and produces two major shows per year.
Teens perform every task associated with their productions as adult advisors provide guidance.

Teens interested in becoming involved with an ACTT show or joining the ACTT Board should complete and submit an ACTT application at their earliest convenience.

ACTT'S 2006-2007 Season:

You're a Good Man Charlie Brown

October 27-29 and November 3-5, 2006

Show Times: 7 P.M. Friday and Saturday 2 P.M. Sunday.

"The show is best described as an average day in the life of Charlie Brown. It is a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown
from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives
of his friends (both human and non-human) and strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to
hopeful starlit evening."

Rehearsal for Murder
March 2-4 and 7-9, 2007 Show Times: 7 P.M. Friday and Saturday 2 P.M. Sunday.

"This is a murder mystery adapted for the stage by D.D. Brooke. From the television play by Richard Levinson and William Link. This is a thrilling "theatrical" mystery in which your theater becomes the set for the play.
The playwright turns on the stage work light and prepares for the first reading of his new play. The actors, producer, director and others connected with the show come onto the stage, and under their humorous (and utterly real) theatrical talk, tension grows.
We discover that everyone connected with this play was involved with another play by the same playwright. At its opening night, exactly a year ago and in this same theatre, the beautiful leading lady, who was also the playwright's fiancee, was murdered!
As these people start with the new play, startling connections to the murder begin to unfold.
The growing tension reaches the boiling point with surprise revalations, countered by others eve more surprising. The dazzling, yet basically logical twists build to a climax and solution that are theatrically stunning!"

ACTT also proudly sponsors a group known as The Easily Amused Teen Comedy Troupe. This funny and energetic group of teens perform their brand of comedy on a regular basis at the Center for the Arts and other local venues.
